Welcome to Mango Valley Farm
Australian-Grown Holy Basil (Tulsi)
Rarely grown in Australia. Naturally cultivated in Bundaberg.
Nestled in Pine Creek, Bundaberg, Mango Valley Farm is a small family-run farm growing herbs and spices naturally, with Holy Basil (Tulsi) at the heart of what we do.
We grow, harvest and process Tulsi ourselves, turning our farm-grown herbs into tea, oils, powder and botanical products.
Grow with nature. From our soil to your soul.
Why Our Farm?
Rarely Grown Commercially in Australia
Holy Basil (Tulsi) is still an uncommon commercial crop in Australia. We grow it ourselves in sunny Bundaberg, Queensland, offering a genuinely Australian-grown alternative to imported Tulsi.
Farm-Grown & Farm-Direct
From planting and harvesting to drying and processing, we keep our Tulsi close to home. Without long international supply chains, our products go directly from our farm to Australian customers.
Grown with nature
We don't use synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Instead, we work with the land and make use of natural materials from around the farm to build and enrich our soil, creating a healthy growing environment for our crops.
Aroma You Can Notice
Our Tulsi has a rich, distinctive aroma with warm clove-like and gently minty notes — delivering a noticeably bolder, more uplifting aroma than imported herbs. We harvest and process it in small batches, taking care to preserve the character of the plant.
Small Batches, Carefully Crafted
We grow, harvest and prepare our products ourselves, from loose leaf tea and powder to essential oils and botanical products. Each batch is handled with care from field to finished package.
Why Tulsi?
The Queen of Herbs
Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum), has been cherished for generations for its distinctive aroma, flavour and place in traditional herbal practices.
For us, Tulsi is more than a crop.
It grows beautifully beneath our mango trees, thrives in Bundaberg's warm climate, and has become an important part of the way we are reshaping the farm.
Fragrant. Resilient. Versatile.
From a soothing cup of tea to aromatic oils and culinary blends, we make the most of this remarkable plant.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is your Tulsi grown?
Naturally, on our small family farm in Pine Creek, Bundaberg. We don't use synthetic pesticides or herbicides—just healthy soil, sunshine and plenty of hands-on care.
What does Tulsi taste like?
Peppery and slightly sweet, with a warm clove-like note and a gentle minty freshness.
How do I brew Tulsi tea?
Use about 2-3 teaspoons of dried Tulsi per cup. Pour over freshly boiled water, cover and steep for 5–7 minutes, or adjust to taste.
How should I store Tulsi?
Keep it in an airtight container away from light, heat and moisture. When stored properly, it can retain its best flavour and aroma for around 12 months.
Can I use Tulsi products during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend speaking with your doctor, midwife or other qualified health professional before using Tulsi products. Safety information for Tulsi during pregnancy is limited, particularly for concentrated products such as extracts and essential oils.
